Five Lex Mundi Member Firms Receive Top Honors at 2012 Asian Legal Business SouthEast Asia Law Awards
Five Lex Mundi member firms received awards in six different categories at the 2012 Asian Legal Business SouthEast (ALB SE) Asia Law Awards. The ceremony, attended by SouthEast Asia's leading investment bankers, solicitors, in-house counsel, barristers, judiciary and business leaders, was held Friday, May 11th, in Singapore at the Shangri-la Hotel.
ALB SE Asia Law Awards recognizes the excellence and outstanding achievements of SouthEast Asia's leading law firms and in-house legal teams as well as the top deals and dealmakers of 2011.
The following Lex Mundi member firms received awards:
- Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co., Lex Mundi member firm for India, was named Firm of the Year (India)
- Conyers Dill & Pearman, Lex Mundi member firm for Bermuda, was named for M&A Deal of the Year (IPP Financial Advisers Pte Ltd Award Singapore)
- Jun He Law Offices, Lex Mundi member firm for China, was named for Equity Market Deal of the Year
- Rajah & Tann LLP, Lex Mundi member firm for Singapore, was named Singapore Shipping Law Firm of the Year
- Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc & De Los Angeles, Lex Mundi member firm for Philippines, was named Firm of the Year (Philippines)
The following Lex Mundi lawyer received an award:
- Lee Eng Beng SC, from Rajah & Tann LLP, Lex Mundi member firm for Singapore, was named Marina Bay Financial Centre Award Managing Partner of the Year
About the ALB SE Asia Law Awards
Now in its eighth successful year, the awards attract over 300 of SouthEast Asia's most influential solicitors, in-house counsel, investment bankers, judiciary and CEOs, who assemble to celebrate with the winners as they accept their awards on stage.
The event is the culmination of the months of intensive research that precede this important event. Winners remain confidential until the awards ceremony itself, where they are revealed over a gala black-tie dinner.
