Rose Law Firm traces its origin to November 1, 1820, when it was formed by the first territorial lieutenant governor of Arkansas and another partner who later served as a U.S. senator, making it one of the oldest firms in the United States and the oldest firm west of the Mississippi River. It is one of the largest firms in the state. Four members of the firm have been elected president of the Arkansas Bar Association, and one member has served as president of the American Bar Association.
