The division is led by 12 partners, many of whom are ranked as leading individuals in their respective areas of practice by renowned legal publications and journals. The wide range of corporate and commercial services offered includes the following areas: mergers and acquisitions, competition, oil and gas, mining and mineral resources, asset-based financing and securitization including shipping finance, banking and finance (including Islamic finance), capital markets, energy, natural resources and utilities, environment, health and safety, international trade, project finance, venture capital and private equity, real estate, securities, tax and trusts.

Skrine’s Intellectual Property (“IP”) division is recognized as one of the most established and leading IP practices in the country. The firm’s services encompass all aspects of IP law and practice, from the inception and creation of the IP right to the proper management, maintenance and enforcement of that right. The unit’s scope of work covers patent, trademark, copyright and industrial design protection, as well as other areas of IP, such as character merchandising, franchising, licensing, privacy, trade secrets and confidential information. The IP division’s dispute resolution practice group has an experienced and a respected team of lawyers advising on all aspects of IP enforcement in the courts and through other dispute resolution channels, (e.g. tribunals and regulatory authorities). The IP division also has a reputable information technology practice group advising on trademark, media and technology (“TMT”) laws and regulatory issues and experienced in assisting clients in the areas of outsourcing, media laws, telecommunications regulatory issues, privacy and other TMT-related issues.
