Murtha Cullina LLP (“Murtha Cullina”) organizes its practice to provide full service to particular industries. We represent clients from major industry groups, with an emphasis on the energy, health care, long-term care, construction and retail industries. We also represent many affordable housing, manufacturing and communications companies.

Our Connecticut offices are in Hartford, New Haven, Madison and Stamford. The firm also has offices in Boston and Woburn, Massachusetts.

Our largest practice area is litigation, including bankruptcy, construction, employment, torts and products liability, covenants not to compete and all types of commercial litigation. Murtha Cullina is the only major law firm based in Connecticut that represents policyholders in coverage disputes with insurance companies.

We do significant regulatory work, particularly in the areas of environmental, energy, health care, communications and agriculture. We also have a general business practice that includes corporate and securities, commercial financing, real estate, employee benefits, public finance, municipal law, and state and federal tax. We provide individuals and family businesses with estate planning and settlement services. We also have a business immigration practice.

In Connecticut, we have a government affairs group that offers a broad range of services from traditional legislative and administrative lobbying to sophisticated consulting.

DuPont and UPS have selected Murtha Cullina to represent them in New England through competitive “convergence” processes.
