Purpose:
The Cross-Border Transactions Practice Group covers five broad transactional areas: Mergers and Acquisitions; Joint Ventures and Alliances; Project Finance; Corporate Finance; and Venture Capital.
The purposes of the Practice Group will be to (a) provide networking opportunities for lawyers at Lex Mundi member firms who practice in those areas; (b) develop relationships among the lawyers in member firms who practice in those areas that will help market the services of member firm lawyers; (c) develop joint marketing tools and approaches; (d) develop tools that will enable the lawyers in member firms to work together on projects efficiently and effectively (example: the Cross‑Border Project Management Guide and Checklist); and (e) exchange information on both substantive and market developments. This will enable practice group members to better assist clients in their global pursuits.

EUROPEAN REGIONAL MEETINGS
The Cross-Border Transactions Practice Group has held several very successful European regional practice group meetings. The lastest meeting was held in Rome, Italy on May 7-8, 2009 and was hosted by Chiomenti Studio Legale. This meeting was a continuation of the group's previous European regional meetings which took place in Vienna, Austria on November 22-24, 2008, in London, England, on March 4-5, 2008 and in Munich, Germany on September 12-13, 2007.
