INVITATION LETTER
On behalf of, Basham, Ringe y Correa, S.C., I extend to you a warm invitation to join us in Mexico City for Lex Mundi’s Latin America/Caribbean Regional Conference, December 3-5, 2009. The programs will be enlightening to all and the social events will allow everyone to enjoy our vibrant culture and bustling city. The conference will begin on Thursday with practice group meetings. In the afternoon, participants may take part in a group excursion to the must see National Museum of Anthropology, followed by an opening reception at the hotel. We have made reservations at some of Mexico City’s finest restaurants offering varied cuisine for the no-host dinners. On Friday morning programs begin with an update to Lex Mundi’s Strategic Plan followed by an increasingly important topic – associate career progress. Participants will then hear how the Central American member firms are enhancing their competitiveness through a new alliance. The lunch speaker will be Dr. Javier Garciadiego Dantán, President of the prestigious El Colegio de México. Practice Group and Committee meetings will round off the afternoon. We will cap the night off with a lovely dinner and entertainment at the iconic Casino Español. Saturday’s programming begins with a session led by Robert Millard, a partner of Edge International. He will discuss how the events of the past year may assist firms as they plan their futures. Chloe Holderness will give a report on the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation and introduce local social entrepreneur. Tim Corcoran, Senior Consultant, Altman Weil, Inc. will speak on the future of bottom-line marketing. An interactive session on professional development opportunities and expectations will take place next. After lunch, participants and accompanying persons may join their colleagues for a guided walking tour of Centro Histórico and Palacio Nacional. The conference ends on a festive note with dinner at the home of one of our partners, Daniel Del Rio. We will enjoy traditional Mexican cuisine, drinks and cultural entertainment. On Sunday, we have organized an all day, optional excursion to the Teotihuacán Pyramids, just outside of the city. Many consider this a must see as it is the third largest pyramid in the world. We look forward to your visit and showcasing our country’s unique culture with you! Yours sincerely,
