The Lex Mundi Institute:
Since the inaugural program in 2004, the Lex Mundi Institute (LMI) has provided unique, advanced learning opportunities for Lex Mundi member firm lawyers. Managed through Lex Mundi’s Professional Development Team, the intensive one-week long LMI training programs are designed to assist new or soon-to-be partners in their cross-border practices and in their management and leadership roles. These custom-designed programs include both skills and substantive training and are led by carefully selected and experienced professionals.
Because Lex Mundi member firms from jurisdictions around the globe send their most promising and accomplished lawyers to the LMI, the interaction among participants is an exceptional professional and multi-cultural experience. During their week spent together, participants are able to establish valuable professional networks and lifelong friendships.
The goals of each Lex Mundi Institute program are:
- To provide high quality, practical programs and courses with an emphasis on international and comparative legal skills and law firm management
- To better equip participants to work with multinational clients or clients with cross-border matters
- To provide a platform for Lex Mundi members to share information, experiences and best practices
- To create and foster a network for graduates to strengthen their relationships as well as the relationships between Lex Mundi member firms around the globe
