This multi-jurisdictional survey is the first part of a multi-part Real Estate Survey Series.  “Issues Relating to Foreign Investment” provides jurisdictional overviews on many areas related to foreign investment in real estate including permissions required and/or restrictions imposed on foreign investors; need for local partners; state/local taxes applicable to foreign individuals/entities acquiring or transferring real estate; reporting requirements for foreign investment or disposition of real estate, and more, as they relate to jurisdictions around the globe.
