Financial Times Recognizes Ellex as one of the 50 Most Innovative Law Firms in Europe

The Financial Times recently announced the highly-anticipated results of its annual survey, the FT Innovative Lawyers Report. The report recognizes Ellex Valiunas, Lex Mundi member firm for Lithuania, as one of the 50 most innovative law firms in Europe. The Ellex circle of law firms stands out in the rankings as the only Baltic-based law firm selected in Northern Europe alongside well-known internationals. It is the second year in a row of Ellex being included in the list of Top 50 innovative law firms in Europe.

In addition to being recognized among other innovative legal advisors, the firm was also singled out for development of the first and innovative legal position on the Administrative Reform Act in the Supreme Court of Estonia. The constitutionality of the act was challenged by several local municipalities in the Supreme Court. This is a landmark case with huge impact in terms of the state reform, exploring the legal balance between the local governmental rights and central government rights.
