2019 Lex Mundi Member Firm Awards Winners Announced

The Lex Mundi Annual Awards were presented at the 2019 Lex Mundi Leadership Summit and Annual Conference in London. These awards recognized and honored member firms for their participation in Lex Mundi events and programs as well as for their referral and business development activities with other member firms. Awards were presented in four categories.

Highest Level of Participation in 2018

This award recognized member firms with the highest participation in Lex Mundi events during 2018. Awards were given to the top firm in each of five firm size categories. Recipients were:

Top Referring Firms for 2018

This award recognized member firms that have made the greatest number of outbound referrals to other Lex Mundi members during 2018. Award winners were determined from information submitted for the Lex Mundi Request for Referral Amounts Survey. Awards were given to the top firm in each of four firm size categories.*

Best Multijurisdictional Client Matter for 2018

This award recognized member firms for an outstanding multijurisdictional matter coordinated with other member firms for a common client. Credit was given for the size and complexity of the matter and for the number of member firms involved. To be considered for the award, firms were required to submit a Successful Client Solutions Questionnaire to Lex Mundi.

Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick , Lex Mundi member firm for the Belgium, won an award for assisting Belgium's largest telecom company in a cross-border acquisition transaction.

Acting as the lead firm, Liedekerke tapped into the Lex Mundi network to quickly organize a cross-border team including:

The acquisition required beginning-to-end assistance. Liedekerke led the due diligence process, drafting and negotiating all transaction documents and coordinating the complex exits of the minority shareholders in the different local subsidiaries.
