For example, in the technology sector, we are advising the NYSE-listed technology company, Danaher Corporation, on the Israeli law aspects of its global M&A activity and we most recently served as its lead counsel on the acquisition of Frankfurt-listed AVT Technologies, which is based in Israel. We also acted for Booking.com, the world leading travel fare aggregator website, in connection with the acquisition of Eveture Ltd., an Israeli start-up that specializes in development of chat-bots; and for Soros Fund Management in their investment in Behalf Ltd., a FinTech start-up founded in 2011 that provides short term facilities to small and medium size businesses in the U.S.

In the medical devise field, we serve as Israeli counsel to NYSE-listed Cardinal Health, in connection with its multi-billion acquisition of Medtronic's Patient Care, Deep Vein Thrombosis and Nutritional Insufficiency business. We also represented Shenzhen-traded Chengdu Kanghong Pharmaceutical Group in the acquisition of I-Optima, the developer of minimally-invasive surgical ophthalmic devices; and Zimmer Surgical, a subsidiary of Zimmer Biomet - a US publicly traded medical device company, in the acquisition of all the assets of Medical Compression Systems, an Israeli entity which a developer of non-invasive solutions for the treatment of DVT.

In the energy sector, we represented General Electric Co. on the Israeli-related aspects of its acquisition of the energy assets of Alstom SA and other certain Israeli body corporates. We further represented GE on the Israeli antitrust and merger control issues of the acquisition of Baker Hughes.

In the infrastructure field, we regularly represent Israel Infrastructure Fund, one of the largest and most successful private equity funds in Israel, on its various investments in major projects, such as Dalia Energies, the largest privately owned power station in Israel, and Via Maris, a major desalination plant.

In the telecom and media sector, we acted for NASDAQ-traded Viacom, one of the biggest media companies in the world, in a minority stake acquisition of Ananey Communications, a company that holds a local licence for representing Nickelodeon and MTV, and which operates independent channels including the Health Channel, the Food Channel, the Ego Channel and more.

We further represented France-based cosmetics company, Groupe Rocher, in its acquisition of the international body products store chain Sabon, which is registered in Israel and operates in China, Japan, Europe and the U.S.; and Ethiopian Magical Farm, an Ethiopian based company specializing in growing flowers in the sale to a Mauritian fund - Surya Floriculture Partners Limited.

In addition, we regularly represent both Israeli and foreign banks in large, complex syndicated financings in Israel. For example, we represented a syndicate of local and foreign banks and financial institutions in relation to the financing of the Israel-based multi-billion dollar company Netafim Limited, including all aspects relating to its US $500 million facilities, and to the financing of a large-scale sugarcane irrigation project to be carried out in Ethiopia (this is the largest export credit financed by Israeli banks for a project to be carried out by an Israeli company in Africa). We also represented a syndicate of local and foreign banks and financial institutions in the granting of a US $350 million financing to the Israeli public company, Oil Refineries Limited (one of two oil refineries in Israel). We also represent the lenders in major projects that are ongoing, such as the financing of the building of a public hospital in Ashdod (the first PFI project of its kind in Israel) and the Jerusalem Light Railway project.

In the field of disputes, the firm acts on highly profiled cases and arbitration proceedings (including local and international institutional arbitration under the aegis of the ICC and the LCIA). Our disputes partners are regularly appointed to serve as sole arbitrator or as a member of an arbitration tribunal adjudicating claims covering a wide and diverse range of industry sectors. S.
