2019 Lex Mundi Summit

As companies forge ahead with building smart products and services and integrating AI into the operating platform, general counsel are called upon to guide the c-suite through new ethical and legal complexities about targeting distinct customer sets, performing diligence on supply chain partners, making decisions about personnel, and addressing broader risks. The implications for liability exposure from customers, employees, partners and shareholders are clear:  how did the company exploit, or not exploit AI to cause or mitigate damages, violations, and losses?

This AI revolution is taking place at a time when more governments talk openly about law as an instrument of protecting domestic markets, building champions, and advancing the national interest. China’s Belt and Road Initiative, US sanctions policies, EU foreign investment measures and populist adminstrations in Latin America are key examples.

Our 2019 annual Lex Mundi Summit in Amsterdam will bring together GCs to share ways in which they are helping to prepare their companies for how these two major trends, AI and economic nationalism, are shaping the business environment as we enter the 2020’s.

Participation in the 2019 Lex Mundi Summit is free of charge for invited corporate counsel and their guests.  Registration includes: accommodations at the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam (nights May 16-17), all programs and meals during the Summit.
