Dyann Kostello is Group Vice-President, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer of Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd., a US $5 billion company publicly-traded on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
TTI is a global leader in the power tool, floor care and outdoor products fields. It is the owner and seller of such well-known brands as MILWAUKEE, RIDGID, RYOBI and AEG power tools; HOOVER, ORECK and DIRT DEVIL floor care products; and HOMELITE outdoor products.
Ms. Kostello is responsible for all global legal and compliance issues for the TTI group, which has worldwide subsidiaries in China, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, United States, Canada and Latin America. Dyann manages a staff of thirty-three attorneys and other professionals based throughout the Group’s locations.
Prior to her current role for TTI, Ms. Kostello was General Counsel of TTI subsidiary Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation from 2005 – 2008. Prior to joining Milwaukee Electric Tool, Dyann was a partner at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, where she was a member of the Corporate, Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Retail/Distribution groups. Dyann was with Michael Best from 1988 – 1996 and rejoined the firm from 1997 – 2005. Dyann was also senior legal counsel at Harley-Davidson 1996 – 1997.
Ms. Kostello obtained her law degree from Marquette University Law School, magna cum laude, in 1988 and a B.S. in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Marquette University in 1985.
Ms. Kostello is also the author of the novel “The Stirling Acquisition,” a legal thriller. She lives in Pikesville, Maryland, with her husband, John, and cats Oliver and Wendell.
