| Which agency regulates the use of AI in your jurisdiction? | Ireland has not yet designated its lead national AI supervisory authority. A National AI Office will be established by the 2nd of August 2026 to act as the central coordinating authority for the EU Artificial Intelligence Act in Ireland. In the interim, Ireland has designated the following competent authorities, which will be responsible for implementing and enforcing the EU AI Act within their respective sectors:

Ireland has not yet designated its lead national AI supervisory authority. A National AI Office will be established by the 2nd of August 2026 to act as the central coordinating authority for the EU Artificial Intelligence Act in Ireland.
