Although non-binding, these guidelines, along with the strategies, clearly indicate Serbia's strong commitment to regulating AI. A working group is actively drafting Serbia’s first Law on Artificial Intelligence, expected to formalize the legal framework for AI development, application, and governance. This upcoming law aims to position Serbia as the first Southeast European country with comprehensive AI legislation, covering aspects such as intellectual property, AI-generated works, and compliance with international standards.
